Breanna Contreras Quoted in Washington Post

Nancy Guthrie

SANTA FE - September 16, 2021 - Partner and mother, Breanna Contreras, was quoted in The Washington Post article, Parenting a child under 12 in the age of delta: ‘It’s like a fire alarm every day’.

Breanna Contreras, 33, an intellectual property attorney whose children are 6, 3 and 20 months, said she and her husband, an engineer at Los Alamos National Lab, made the difficult decision to put all three of their children in school or day care because of their demanding jobs. But she second-guesses the choice every day.

“I feel like we’re constantly reacting,” said Contreras, who lives in Santa Fe, N.M. “There’s not enough time to be proactive. It’s like a fire alarm every day.”

Breanna Contreras is a partner at Bardacke Allison LLP.

Meow Wolf Opens Convergence Station in Denver

Nancy Guthrie

DENVER September 16, 2021 – This weekend is the Grand Opening of Meow Wolf’s permanent Denver exhibition, Convergence Station. It has been three years in the making and involves 300 creatives, including more than 110 from Colorado.

CNN Travel writes,

Imagine this: Four worlds collide following a cosmic event 25 years ago. All inhabitants lose their memories, leading to the disappearances of four women.

What sounds like the premise of a sci-fi novel is actually the foundation of art collective Meow Wolf's third permanent immersive experience in Denver, "Convergence Station." But it will offer an otherworldly escape.

When the exhibition opens September 17, visitors will become part of the story, exploring the four worlds -- kaleidoscopic cathedrals, Corinthian catacombs, lush alien habitats and dazzling but gritty cityscapes -- to investigate what happened.

Though the backstory sounds supernatural, it is a story of immigration inspired by the Sun Valley neighborhood of Denver where the building is located, said Chadney Everett, senior creative director of Meow Wolf Denver.

"Convergence Station connects us to four disparate, alien worlds, mysteriously converged together by a rare cosmic event," Everett said. "Some of its citizens are thrilled for the opportunities of this new world, and others long for their homes. A story expressed within many immigrant communities."

The Santa Fe New Mexican reports, “As awkward as it sounds, Convergence Station makes no sense and yet perfect sense as the name of Meow Wolf’s third and newest permanent exhibition, which opens Friday in downtown Denver.”

Bardacke Allison represents Meow Wolf.
