JUDGMENT RENDERED IN FAVOR OF STELLA VIGIL

SANTA FE, NM April 3, 2018 - The First Judicial District Court has rendered its Final Judgment in favor of Stella Vigil against Zia Credit Union following her successful jury verdict in December 2016. The final judgment tripled the amount of damages awarded by the jury. The Court also determined that Zia Credit Union committed willful unconscionable trade practices in handling Ms. Vigil's account, in violation of the New Mexico Unfair Practices Act, and awarded pre- and post-judgment interest. The judgment is the culmination of a six-year battle following Zia Credit Union’s conversion of her account.
