LOS ANGELES, CA June 21, 2018 - Warner Brothers and Village Roadshow have announced a release date of Christmas Day 2020 for Sherlock Holmes 3, the third in the series starring Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes and Jude Law as Dr. John Watson. The first Sherlock Holmes was released December 25, 2009. The second, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, was released December 2011 and grossed $545 million worldwide.
